BBA Students' Industrial Visit to CAMPCO FACTORY, Puttur.

To gain practical business insights, the Department of Business Administration, IQAC, and Management Association organised an industrial visit to the Campco Chocolate Factory in Maril, Puttur on September 17, 2022, a Saturday.

In 1986, the business established a chocolate production facility in Puttur, a city in the Karnataka province of Dakshina Kannada. Both for its own brand and for other chocolate manufacturers, the plant makes chocolates and other cocoa-based items. It boasts a modern manufacturing facility with a well-organized layout, as well as many factory workers from the surrounding area.

59 students from the first BBA autonomous batch, including members of the management association, attended the event. They were given access to the production facility where they witnessed the production of chocolate while being guided by a senior Campco official who performed a demonstration.

Students gained practical experience in areas of business administration such as production, inventory procurement and management, maintenance, vendor and supplier management, etc. that are part of the BBA Course curriculum and are taught as theory in the classrooms. This has improved their knowledge and skills.

Rotary Club Pharangipete in association with the Department of Business Administration and IQAC, Vivekananda College Puttur (Autonomous) has organized a one-day workshop on "LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AFTER SSLC" for the students of Shree Rama Higher Primary School, Arkula, Pharangipete on 10 September 2022, Saturday.  Mr. Kishan N.
